Ibex goats defy physics
Piedmont, Italy. Ibex goats seemingly challenge Newton’s laws as they cling to the side of the Cingino Dam. Why? To lick the salt residue and supplement their dietary requirements… obviously.
With their split hooves that grip to the small protrusions in the dam surface, they seem quite at home on the near vertical surface as this rather shaky and long footage suggests (you will probably get the jist in the first 30 seconds).
The Ibex is quite at home at altitude, and indeed, chose to live in high altitudes above 4,600 m territories to protect themselves from predators; this 160 ft dam poses no problems for these sure footed herds.
